Parents and Students: On November 5th in Garden City, MI there will be a local tournament hosted by Olympian Chung Do Kwan. It is a great event for first-timers and kids and we always like to support this event with great attendance.  There are registration forms on the front desk that you can take so make sure you are responsible about turning in your forms. Also note that two tournaments are required in order to obtain the rank of black belt so its a good idea to try competition at a lower or intermediate rank rather than waiting till later in your training career. Join us on Friday, October 14th for the public black belt exam and come watch and cheer on your classmates.  For those in the advanced class, its a good idea to see this prior to your experience and for everyone else, its just a great time to come support the students and the school.  The exam is from 6:00-8:00pm and there is always a potluck party afterwards at the school.  We ask that everyone sign up for a dish to pass at the front desk.  This public test is the second part of an exam process that completes their long road to black belt.  The pretesting process is a long day for each student and we are proud to see each and every one of them finish.
