Lights! Camera! Action!  Please join us Friday, July 22nd for a radKIDS fundraiser at Midwest Tae Kwon Do. Have your kids bring their sleeping bag and pillow and enjoy Kung Fu Panda with us. It’s a great opportunity for you to enjoy Music in the Park downtown while they enjoy the show! Admission is $3 (children under 2 are free). Baked good and popcorn will be available for purchase. Feel free to drop the kids off and enjoy a nice evening out. Drop-off begins at 6:00pm and pick-up is no later than 9:00pm.  Children under 5 need to be accompanied by an adult during the movie.  Make it a family event for quality time with the kids!  Kids are welcome to bring a friend if they like.  See you there!

We are very proud to report that Midwest TKD brought home 6 medals from California out of ten players that went to compete. Kaylyn Thompson won a gold medal is the red belt sparring division, Kelli Fairbanks won the bronze in the adult female middle weight sparring division and Gabe McDowell won the silver medal in adult fin weight sparring division.  We are also happy to report that 3 Poomsae medals came home: a gold from Karen Jiang in the 14-17 female black belt division and a gold from Kevin Jiang in the 10-11 male black belt division and a bronze in the 12-13 year old female black belt division from Caleigh Lin. Gabe, Kelli and Karen have qualified for US Team Trials to be held later this year.  We are immensely proud of each and every one of our athletes that worked hard in their training and represented themselves and their dojang well.
